Mushroom Time!

I probably could have posted this Sunday but we were super busy. After we got done with markets last week, we had an ad hoc foraging class and taught a small group how to identify some of our local edible mushrooms. Blewits, chanterelles, and milkycap mushrooms were in abundance and we wound up with about 20 pounds of fungi to fill the bare spots in the pantry.

This of course means it won’t be long before we have our fresh mushroom pasta again! We currently have our fresh focaccia with black trumpet mushrooms today at Blue 42 Market
